This Parcel layer was compiled from a number of sources. Digital data was provided by each of the local cities. These files were projected to State Plane coordinate system and combined together. The remaining areas were created from the Assessor's map books. Each page was scanned and then projected to real world coordinates then rubber sheeting was used to fit all the pieces together. The final product varies in accuracy based on location. Urban areas are relatively accurate while more rural areas are less accurate. In some cases, the parcels can be significantly off from their true location.
To serve as a spatial feature showing the address, location size and owner of land parcels in Napa County. This data is for planning purposes only.

Attributes are extracted from the Megabyte property management system. The data is copied from the Megabyte server each night and processed for use with the parcel layer.
Access to this data is limited to County of Napa, partner agencies, government agencies or non-profits. Please contact County GIS staff for more information.
