The data was originally created from land base information and from the initial land base creation by the Assessment Department-Mapping Office in the early 1990s. Recorded information and documents have been used to create the best possible representation of the boundaries and they have been verified to be topologically correct and coincide with other county political boundaries. This data is not legal evidence of any municipal or county boundary line. Updated attribute information was provided in 2008 making the information more useful for GIS applications.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;In February 2013, the Berks County Planning Commimission updated attributes to allow for additional analysis suitable for the department's needs.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;July 1, 2016, Strausstown Borough merged with Upper Tulpehocken. All attributes were updated to reflect an accurate Census 2010 population count by adding the 342 population of Strausstown to Upper Tulpehocken's Census 2010 total. New total for the merge is 1917. The acreage field was also updated for Upper Tulpehocken.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</idAbs>
