This data was digitized while referencing orthophoto and Lidar imagery. One original purpose for creating this data was to establish the point of intersection of 'driveways' or 'access points' on existing County and private roads. Address numbers are often assigned in relation to a linear or grid based measurement along a particular road. The development of this dataset was originally intended to assist with precision address assignment and address QC/QA. It was designed to be supplemental to NG911 datasets (e.g. RoadCenterlines, SiteStructureAddressPoints), however this is &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style='text-decoration:underline;'&gt;NOT&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt; a standard dataset of the nationally recognized NG911 data standard. Generally the starting vertex of driveway line segments are designed to be snapped to the NG911 RoadCenterlines dataset maintained for Skamania County. Some fields in this Driveways dataset match the fields used in the RoadCenterlines dataset (e.g. Road surface type which can be populated with domain values used for surface type of road centerlines).    &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</idAbs>
        		
        <idPurp>This data represents driveways in Skamania County, Washington. This includes some minor roads, generally because they lead to structures, or provide possible access to potentially inhabited areas. This data is typically used in conjunction with other Road Centerline data representing public and private roads in Skamania County. In part this dataset is informative of the location where an access road departs from a public or private road. Said location is often used as the reference point for determining the linear length along the parent route, which is helpful in assigning an address that is length based along the parent road centerline.</idPurp>
