Description:

This dataset is managed by the City Master Addresser. Only she should edit the attributes of this dataset because she has a special tool that propogates these edits to HTE's LX system (used by utility billing). A select few GIS editors are allowed to edit the location of points to support their point-in-polygon work. This dataset is loaded to SmartGov on a regular basis.

Important details:

  • ParcelID are entered when new addresses are added, using an automatic process from the Parcel Fabric. When the parcel data is loaded monthly, the script sends the master addresser an email containing a list of addresses with parcel numbers that aren't in the county's parcel data. This is the only automatic check of this attribute. This means that when parcels split or merge, the address' parcel may be incorrect.

  • AddressType includes descriptors like DPLX for an individual address within a duplex, while DPLXM is the master address for the entire building (not included in this data request).

  • XCoord and YCoord should be filled in by Attribute Assistant

  • IsResidence was created during our work for the 2020 Census and Yes indicates we believe that people are living at that address. This field is manually populated and needs to be checked periodically for completion.

  • Shape should be located at the front door of the residence, allowed to be moved slightly for purposes such as Stormwater processes.
