ABSTRACT:
The Pavement Management Program maintains a current inventory of all paved roads within the City of Victorville. This dataset includes the street name, section number, starting and ending point, and other descriptive information for each road segment, including a PCI rating that scores the condition of each road segment. The PCI rating can range from 100 (excellent) to 0 (failed). The report is utilized in determining the capital improvement project needs and priorities, recommendations for maintenance, preservation and forecasting annual budget projections.
PURPOSE:
This data is intended for geographic display and analysis at the local government level. This data should be displayed and analyzed at scales appropriate for 1:100,000 scale data. No responsibility is assumed by the City of Victorville for the use of this data.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
The Public Works Department - Street Maintenance Division is responsible for updating the City's Pavement Condition Index dataset on a five (5) year cycle.
FIELD DESCRIPTIONS:
SECTIONID– Alias: Street Section ID - The street section is broken up into segments.
GISID– Alias: Geographic ID – A unique identifier for the PCI street segment.
CENTERLINEID– Alias: Centerline ID – A foreign key to the City of Victorville Road Centerlines layer.
STNAME – Alias: Street Name - Name of the street.
FROMST– Alias: From Street - The beginning limit of each pavement section.
TOST– Alias: To Street - The ending limit of each pavement section.
LANECOUNT– Alias: Number of Lanes - The number of lanes in the pavement section.
SECRANK– Alias: Section Rank - The rank of each pavement section appears in this column. Typically, street segments are classified according to traffic volume or the City’s circulation plan. (A) Arterial (C) Collector (E) Local/Residential (X) Alleyway.
SURFTYPE– Alias: Surface Type – The type of pavement surface of the street segment.
PAVEEDGE– Alias: Edge of Pavement - The edge of the pavement section. EOP includes C&G (Curb & Gutter), CUR (Curb only), ROL (rolled Curb), AB (asphalt berm), and NON (just EOP with Dirt).
LENGTH– Alias: Section Length - The length of the pavement section.
WIDTH– Alias: Section Width - The width of the pavement section.
ADJUSTAREA– Alias: Adjusted Area - The segment area adjustment due to medians, cul-de-sacs, width adjustments, turn-outs or any other condition observed during the pavement inspection.
TRUEAREA– Alias: True Area - The area of the pavement section.
ZONE– Alias: City Zone - The one of three zones within the City, A, B, or C.
PCI– Alias: Pavement Condition Index (PCI) - Pavement condition indexes were calculated for pavement sections based on severity and extent of distress. Ranging between 0 and 100, a PCI of “100” corresponds to a pavement at the beginning of its life cycle, while a PCI of “0” corresponds to a badly deteriorated pavement which is at or near the end of its life cycle.
PCIDESC– Alias: PCI Description – A more relatable description of the PCI number. Numbers are categorized into Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor, Very Poor, and Failed.
COMMENTS– Alias: Comments – Any general comments about s specific street section.
CREATEDDATE– Alias: Created Date – The date the data was entered into the City’s Database.
CREATEDBY– Alias: Created By – The user who entered the data into the City’s Database.
LASTUPDATE– Alias: Last Update Date – The date the data was last updated in the City’s Database.
LASTEDITOR– Alias: Last Editor – The last user to make an edit to the data in the City’s Database.
GlobalID– Alias: GlobalID – A unique database identifier number used for data integrity in the City’s Database.
