Description: An assessment of flood risk for England and Wales produced using local data and expertise. It shows the chance of flooding from rivers and the sea presented in categories taking account of flood defences and the condition they are in. The floodplain is split into 50m x 50m cells and each allocated one of four flood risk likelihood categories. High: each year, there is a chance of flooding of greater than 1 in 30 (3.3%). Medium: each year, there is a chance of flooding of between 1 in 30 (3.3%) and 1 in 100 (1%). Low: each year, there is a chance of flooding of between 1 in 100 (1%) and 1 in 1000 (0.1%). Very Low: each year, there is a chance of flooding of less than 1 in 1000 (0.1%). Data downloaded from EA Geostore: 06 Feb 2015. For more details see guidance supplied with the data.
