This polyline feature contains geographic and attribute information for the purpose of depicting railroad features within the City of SeaTac and surrounding communities. The data was obtained from Sound Transit Office of Policy and Planning: GIS Services and modified to meet City needs. The data was originally created by Sound Transit to support Sound Transit's Link light rail line of business function including planning, engineering design, siting, identification and assessment of impacted parcels, environmental assessment, and general mapping. Supports map display and query (in ST Map Explorer) and general mapping agency-wide.
The data presented in this dataset in some cases represent planned sections of rail line and is subject to change without notice.
Incorporated in February 1990, the City of SeaTac is located in the Pacific Northwest, approximately midway between the cities of Seattle and Tacoma in the State of Washington. SeaTac is a vibrant community, economically strong, environmentally sensitive, and people-oriented. The City boundaries surround the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, (approximately 3 square miles in area) which is owned and operated by the Port of Seattle.
