Description: Municipal drinking water system districts in Columbia County, NY. Derived from multiple sources, few of which are authoritative.The only modern map available is for the Town of Claverack. Other district boundaries were digitized from project proposals, reports, or low resolution copies of maps drawn before 1980. Current tax parcels were consulted and the boundaries adjusted in some cases were adjacent tax parcels were tagged as being connected to a municipal water system.
The fact that a tax parcel is included in a district does not mean that property is connected to the water system, nor does it mean the property has easy access to the infrastructure. Please consult directly with the municipality to confirm the location of any drinking water infrastructure.
