Description: This polygon feature class was obtained from the online Antarctic Digital Database (ADD). It had to be updated manually since the ice / ocean boundary had shifted since the original feature class was published. The new ice / ocean boundary was determined via the most recent Sentinel 1 SAR imagery (06 May 2024). The SAR imagery was obtained from polar view (https://www.polarview.aq/antarctic).
This feature class will be updated later this year using updated Sentinel 1 SAR imagery.
