Description: The footprints of airborne frequency-domain electromagnetic and time-domain electromagnetic surveys conducted in the Northwest Territories (NWT) are presented on a backdrop of major NWT shorelines, territorital borders, roads, and selected communities. The group layer Frequency_Domain_EM contains two polygon layers, Industry Frequency Domain EM for surveys commissioned by private-industry companies, and Government Frequency Domain EM for surveys commissioned by government agencies. The only government agency that has commissioned a frequency-domain EM survey in the NWT is the Northwest Territories Geological Survey (NTGS). The group layer Time_Domain_EM contains two polygon layers, Time Domain EM outlines and Time Domain EM fills, that access one shapefile (Industry_ATEM_Footprints) and together illustrate the footprints of time-domain EM surveys commissioned by private-industry companies. No time-domain EM surveys have been commissioned by a government agency. Footprints are symbolized according to a combination of flight-line spacing and period during which the survey was flown. Line weight and style reflect the period. Colour reflects the line spacing and is the same as the colour of the corresponding label in the Annotation layer. Time-domain footprints are distinguished from frequency-domain footprints by having a fill. Footprints are labelled in colours that match those of the corresponding symbols, with a different font size and weight for each footprint layer. The source data for surveys commissioned by the NWT Geological Survey (NTGS) or submitted by private industry to NTGS are available through NTGS. The "Link" attributes in each of the footprints shapefiles contain a URL link to the source data. The Hyperlink tool (in the Tools toolbar) can be clicked on any footprint polygon to open the corresponding URL.
