Description: The footprints of airborne radiometric and gravity surveys conducted in the Northwest Territories (NWT) are presented on a backdrop of major NWT shorelines, territorial borders, roads, and selected communities. The group layer Radiometric Footprints contains two polygon layers, Govt_Radiometric_Footprints for radiometric surveys commissioned by government agencies, and Industry_Radiometric_Footprints for surveys commissioned by private-industry companies. The group layer Gravity Footprints contains four polygon layers. Govt_Gravity_Outline and Govt_Gravity_Fill illustrate airborne gravity surveys commissioned by government agencies, whereas Industry_Gravity_Outline and Industry_Gravity_Fill illustrate surveys commissioned by private-industry companies. Government agencies include the Northwest Territories Geological Survey (NTGS) and the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC). Footprints are symbolized according to a combination of flight-line spacing and period during which the survey was flown. Line weight and style reflect the period. Colour reflects the line spacing and is the same as the colour of the corresponding label in the Annotation layer. Gravity footprints are distinguished from radiometric footprints by having a fill. Footprints are labelled in colours that match those of the corresponding symbols. The source data for surveys commissioned by the NWT Geological Survey (NTGS) or submitted by private industry to NTGS are available through NTGS. The "Link" attributes in each of the footprints shapefiles contain a URL link to the source data. The Hyperlink tool (in the Tools toolbar) can be clicked on any footprint polygon to open the corresponding URL.
