Service Description: This service contains feature layers that compose the Fisheries Hydrography Framework and serve as the foundation for many Fisheries programs. It was developed for use with the latest version of the Fisheries Division's state-wide database, FISHHUB. The hydrographic layers, including FISHHydroFlowlines, FISHHydroPolygons, FISHHydroGrids, and FISHHUC12, are custom snapshots of the final release of the USGS NDHPlus HR, tailored to the needs of the Division. LegacyPolygonCrosswalk and LegacyFlowlineCrosswalk provide a link between the hydrographic layers in this service and the historical stream and lake identifiers used in the Fish Collection and the Fish Stocking and Information Systems. The management layers, FISHManagementUnits, FISHTreaty, FISHLakeWhitefishManagementUnit, and FISHLakeTroutManagementUnit, offer spatial definitions for operations within the State of Michigan and Treaty waters. All layers in this service may be useful Department-wide and provide common feature identifiers to link data from different Divisions. New lakes and streams within these hydrographic layers will be continually added as needed, and existing features may be edited to better match the changing environment.
