Description: The vector files representing the Portneuf River for the 1975 were derived from ortho-rectified data created using structure from motion technology (Pocatello, Idaho Historic Orthoimagery for 1975 (~1 meter resolution) doi:10.7923/G4D798BC). The workflow for the 1975 dataset is as follows. A vector file was created and manually digitized from the raster. Oxbows (cut off meanders/channels) and river features were coded as a “type” attribute within the attribute table. From here the data was smoothed using the PAEK algorithm with a smoothing tolerance of 20 meters to eliminate sharp corners.
