Description: It was created as one of a series of datasets to analyze how engineering of a riparian ecosystem changed the environment over time. It includes cut-off channels and meanders that could increase river length and vegetation habitat in this riparian ecosystem. The workflow for the 1994 dataset is as follows. A vector file was created and manually digitized from a georeferenced raster (1994 (__???___meter resolution). Oxbows (cut off meanders/channels) and river features were coded as a “type” attribute within the attribute table. From here the data was smoothed using the PAEK algorithm with a smoothing tolerance of 20 meters to eliminate sharp corners.
