- intro (type: esriFieldTypeString, alias: Thank you for your technical interest in the DTSC Sea Level Rise Guidance to Project Managers for Cleanup Activities (Guidance).
Without proper protections, Sea Level Rise may adversely affect public health and degrade the environment by altering hydraulic, geologic, hydrogeologic, and chemical conditions of contaminated sites, and increasing the threat of release of hazardous contaminants in surface water, ground water, air soil, and sediment. Coordinating with other California agencies, DTSC has developed a Sea Level Rise Guidance for Project Managers to formalize its approach and promote consistency among projects under our oversight.
DTSC intends to update the Guidance in about one year (1st quarter 2024), based on experience implementing the Guidance and input from the public. DTSC will be collecting input from the public through October 31, 2023. Below are survey questions to provide an opportunity to collect your thoughts and input on the Guidance. If you have any questions, please email us at DTSC_SeaLevelRise@dtsc.ca.gov. , SQL Type: sqlTypeOther, length: 255, nullable: true, editable: true)
