View In:   Map Viewer

Service Description: This layer displays the most current pavement condition index (PCI) rating of the City of Tacoma street network. Data was collected through a consultant-led survey in late summer of 2023 and follows ASTM D6433 standards. Scores range from 0 (poor) to 100 (good) and are symbolized by their overall condition:Green = Good (70-100)Yellow = Fair (41-69)Red = Poor (0-40)Additional data includes street classification, pavement type, International Roughness Index (IRI), centerline miles (simple length), lane miles (paved area), and an indicator if the pavement is permeable. Some data was collected for brick and gravel streets, but they are not rated using the same standard as asphalt and concrete streets, so no PCI is assigned to those segments.Contact:Erik Sloan, Pavement Manageresloan2@cityoftacoma.org
