Service Description: The purpose of the HudCo_OS_Inventory file is to provide spatial and tabular data on all inventoried open space and recreational facilities within Hudson County, New Jersey. This data set serves as a means of tracking the county's open space and recreational facilities for county and public use as well denoting whether or not a given location has received funding from the Hudson County Open Space Trust Fund (OSTF). This dataset serves as a valuable resource in understanding the current status of the county's open space initiatives but does NOT serve as a means of tracking actual or true property ownership. All ownership/parcel data contained wherein is subject to error and should not be considered 100% accurate.

Description: The HudCo_OS_Inventory file provides both spatial and tabular data related to inventoried open space and recreational faciltiies within Hudson County, New Jersey. Data was compiled using publically accessible resources derived from sources including but not limited to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection-Bureau of Geographic Information Systems (NJDEP-BGIS), the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission, the New Jersey Geographic Information Network, as well as municipal master plans/open space inventories. Individual features were visually inspected through aerial photography that is publically available via Google Earth, ArcGIS Online Services, county contracted oblique and 'top-down' imagery provided by Pictometry, USGS 7.5' Quadrangles, and digital parcel data obtained from individual municipalities and NJGIN. Due to the varying accuracy of these sources, the Hudson County Division of Planning cannot convey certainty regarding the accuracy of mapped data nor the accuracy of the tabular data contained wherein.
