Description: Fire hydrant locations utilized for various mapping applications throughout Chatham County including emergency response and public works operations.Data was collected utilizing GPS technology via a crowdsourcing approach from different Fire Department personnel. The data will be updated and maintained by the Chatham County GIS department as they receive accurate and updated source information. The data was last validated and updated in 2017-2018 as part of a field inspection of Chatham County water assets by SUEZ. Additions to the database were made by North Chatham Fire Department in 2019 for hydrants in their fire response zone.
