This feature class represents Mineral Preserve Overlay to the Land Use Diagrams and the Airport Overlay to the Land Use and Zoning Diagrams for the County of Tuolumne, California
This feature class was constructed using the Cadastral Parcel Layer feature class and then the selection based on Tax Rate Area (TRA) values derived from the existing Assessor Parcel Data provided by the Tuolumne County Assessor, and compared to the existing maps obtained from the State Board of Equalization. The new feature class was then dissolved to form a single polygon using Geoprocessing tools. It has been reshaped to exclude any peripheral roads.
As a basic building block for county-wide analyses and mapping, the parcel feature class is based on a digitized version of the Assessor's Cadastral maps. Although regularly updated, the original digital parcel data varied from plus/minus a few feet to plus/minus 1000 feet in locational accuracy and similar horizontal accuracy issues may remain

Based on original Tuolumne County cadastral parcel data, which was digitized and rubbersheeted as early as 1992 using early GIS software and assessors' record of survey maps starting in 1992, this feature class was spatially adjusted in ARCINFO Workstation using ARCEDIT in late 2002 to reflect more accurate locational data. This is the first generation of the overall spatially corrected parcel data.
The Subdivision Files were compiled using cadastral parcels as the basic building block, and assembled based on description fields associated by the Assessor, and by using Subdivision records provided by the Tuolumen County Surveyors Office.

Corrections made to boundaries in October 2023 to match voting precinct boundaries. No significant changes were made; no voter districts changed, but line work was cleaned up to more closely match actual boundary lines.
