Description: Notes: 1. The PIC is a uique number that identify the station. 2. The operational designation is the self identified type of fuel station for that facility. The list for operational designations are sercive staiton or gas station, cardlock facility, hypermart, marina, airport, truckstop, and other. 3. Blank sales represent year that facility did not file. Message from Andrew Martinez:Hi Ryan,Absolutely. Just as FYI, we did do a little bit of filtering of the data particular to our use case. The following are the filtering and QA/QC data steps we used:We filtered out the following station operational designations: Airport, Cardlock Facility, Marina, and Truck StopWe filtered out stations that didn't have any throughput data after 2013For the Unknown and Other categories, we did perform some QA/QC on individual stations investigating the business type and any available map/navigation imagery For the attached file, the throughput (field Gas_Usage) is the most recent throughput available for that stationFinally, once all locations were geocoded, we had ArcGIS remove any that were coincident/spatial duplicates (there were only 15 of these). Also, we used a couple of geocoder options to optimize the total number found, but not all addresses could be located. During the process, we also did identify a few addresses that couldn't be found as they were originally given to us but that the necessary fix was pretty obvious (and/or backed-up with a little bit of internet research). All told, we have just under 8,000 of the stations you sent us geocoded in this dataset.
