Berks County Greenway System Expansion Areas. Expansion areas were determined by finding land adjacent to the 2007 Greenway hubs, corridors and nodes that are preserved with a Berks County Agricultural Conservation Easement or other easements held by federal, state, municipal and nonprofit organizations. The preserved lands will allow the previous Greenway hubs, corridors, and nodes to expand due to the limited development pressure on those areas allowing for flora and fauna to continue to utilize and migrate through the expansion areas.
