Service Description: This map contains the shapefile given to Richmond Indiana by the Environmental Resilience Institute as part of the Beat the Heat Program, in March of 2022. It contains socioeconomic census data overlaid with block group level temperature averages from the 2021 Heat Watch Campaign. Together, these data were used to determine Heat Vulnerability Scores, and two sets of Priority Areas for heat relief intervention based on small town and big city methodologies.
