Service Description: Sentinel-2 satellite imagery at 10 m resolution was extracted for the estuarine blue carbon habitat classification/mapping. Imagery was extracted at low tide, during cloud-free periods, with a preference toward summer images where available. Estuarine blue carbon habitat maps were generated using routine machine learning approaches. The accuracy of the classifications was assessed by an equalized stratified random sampling procedure using 600 validation points (100 per class for mangrove, saltmarsh, seagrass, unvegetated, macroalgae, and water).
