Description:

Maalaea eastern boundary: comprised of North Kihei Road including or encompassing the USFW boundary for Kealia National Wildlife Refuge pond area.

North Kihei east/southeast boundary: follows the Mokulele highway south to the intersection of North Kihei Road and the Mokulele highway. It then follows the Maui Island Plan urban growth boundary westward toward the coastline. It crosses the MIP growth boundaries and follows a parcel/community plan line to intersect or cross over another MIP GB line, finally to intersect the coastline.

South Kihei northern boundary: Follows Kulanihakoi Stream starting just north of the Kalepolepo Beach park (Whale Sanctuary office area). Please note the line was digitized from the Pictometry imagery, not the stream lines. The line crosses under the Piilani highway, and connects to parcel lines which extend to the eastern end of the community plan area.

South Kihei southern boundary: The line extends mauka following along Kilohana road, acrss the Piilani highway, then follows parcel lines along the western border of Maui Meadows, the follows the southern border of Maui Meadows to the Mauka community plan boundary.

Southern boundary of Wailea: Follows a parcel line from the coastline extending mauka to Kaukahi Street, following Kaukahi Street parcel lines mauka to a the eastern extent of the community plan area.

Southern boundary of Makena: follows parcel lines from coastline extending eastward/mauka to the border of the community plan area. The line essentially follows the ‘Āhihi - Kīna‘u Natural Area Reserve boundary.
