This dataset is intended to give an approximation of trails for planning use only. Trails depicted are subject to change or closure due to trail conditions, land use operations and loss of landowner consent. Trails designated for one activity may not be accessible for all activities. Activities listed are for the trail system, and activities allowed on individual trail segments may vary.

Trails and roads in this data layer may also be maintained for management access, not for recreational use. Not all areas are open to public access and users should first contact landowners and seek permission.

Trails data compiled by NH Office of Strategic Initiatives and NH Fish and Game Department from multiple public information sources including online maps, spatial data, orthophotos, and field data collection with handheld GPS units. Positional accuracy will vary. Coverage and attributes should not be construed as complete.

Attributes have been revised to allow users to prepare data that can be integrated into Trail Finder.
