Description: This layer represents Bay Area CalEnviroScreen 3.0 tracts. Tracks with a CES 3.0 Percentile Range greater than 75% are considered 'Disadvantaged Communities' per SB 535. CalEPA has used CalEnviroScreen 3.0 to designate disadvantaged communities pursuant to Senate Bill 535 in April 2017. CalEnviroScreen is a screening methodology that can be used to help identify California communities that are disproportionately burdened by multiple sources of pollution. This version updates CalEnviroScreen in a variety of ways. For more information about CalEnviroScreen 3.0, navigate to the CalEPA CalEnviroScreen 3.0 website.
