Description: The BLUE_MUSSEL_VOL2 depicts known blue mussel habitat areas within Kachemak Bay. This data was digitized from mylar original maps from the Kachemak Bay and Fox River Flats Critical Habitat Areas Management Plans (1993) and updated bluelines from area biologists (1997 and 1999). Data for the following categories were captured: Known concentrations - areas where concentrations of blue mussels have been observed. Data exists only for the Kachemak Bay area; data are not continuous along the coast.
