Service Description: These are boundaries of the Assessor's valuation areas. The Assessor is required to do reval for tax purposes of all areas at least once every 6 years. These boundaries represent units that are evaluated once every 6 years (one unit done per year). This dataset represents land ownership boundaries (parcels) in Skamania County, Washington, along with attributes derived from the Skamania County Assessor's records or otherwise generated to fulfill Skamania County's business needs. This dataset has been developed for general mapping, planning, and analysis for internal use by Skamania County and other government agencies. External use and/or non-governmental use of this dataset is generally permitted, however its use may be restricted as dictated by applicable laws and/or Skamania County policy. The data is provided 'as is' and 'with all faults' and users of this data assume all risk associated with its use.

Description: This dataset represents ownership parcels (taxlots) for land within Skamania County, Washington. The dataset is a best available representation of parcels of record in the Skamania County Assessor's database at the time of its creation. The dataset is under constant and continued maintenance as described in more detail in other sections of the metadata. Two attribute fields in the dataset provide the relevant dates for the currency of the data set. The GEOM_DATE field provides the date that line work/geometry was last updated (e.g. plats entered, boundaries adjusted, etc.). The ATTR_DATE field provides the date the attributes were last updated (e.g. with an extract from the Assessor's database of ownership details). These date fields are in the format YYYYMMDD (i.e. year, month, day).
